Are You Losing Sleep Because of Racing Thoughts and Fear of the Unknown?
It could be that anxiety is keeping you awake at night. You cannot stop worrying about your recent health diagnosis, that big upcoming event, a buildup of smaller life situations, the death of a loved one, work, finances, or looming deadlines. To make matters worse, you may also be feeling dissatisfied, angry, jealous, hurt, disappointed, embarrassed, or sad.
Maybe anxiety has left you feeling unfulfilled and constantly second-guessing yourself. You might find yourself tense emotionally and physically as you constantly enter fight or flight mode. Your body hurts. Perhaps the tension headaches and migraines are occurring more often, and nothing is helping the pain subside. You are constantly wanting and wishing to not work so hard to have a good day.
You can experience anxiety over many different things. You can have racing thoughts over the anticipation of a new job, you can be nervous about attending a meeting or meeting someone new or be concerned about a potentially dangerous situation. Racing thoughts, feeling jittery, and phobias can be what you are experiencing in addition to losing sleep. With the help of a counselor, you can experience hope, rest, and have peace in making decisions in your life.
Anxiety treatment can make a difference.
Many Experience Anxiety, You Are Not the Only One
Over 40 million adults, aged 18 or over, have experienced some form of anxiety. According to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), 31% of all Americans will experience some form of anxiety. Within this percentage, 19.1% of these individuals will be diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, women more so than men.
Anxiety is an epidemic that can be triggered by poor health, troublesome relationships, financial distress, pressures with your employer, or exposure to trauma. Anxiety has become one of the most common mental illnesses today.
Tension, worry, anxiety, and fear of the unknown affects many people. You may think you will be able to figure things out on your own. Perhaps you can, but many people need additional support through anxiety treatment. I partner with you as you as you navigate through your healing journey so you can live a life of peace and tranquility.
Anxiety Treatment Can Help You Get to a Peaceful Place
I assist people with finding the source of anxiety and overcoming the causes of their worry. Sessions provide a holistic approach to get the root of the matter and provide the necessary tools to remove anxiety from your life. I help lift the worry that doesn’t seem to go away. Whether you have been dealing with anxiety for 2 weeks or 2 years, we will walk the healing journey together.
The counseling sessions are a place of hope where the whole person – Spirit, Soul, Body – is addressed. Our sessions put the topic of faith front and center. We will explore life events that led to the anxiety. A complete analysis of emotional, medical, psychological, and spiritual history will be explored to address most urgent needs to get to the core of the problem.
In the initial counseling session, we will discuss the reason for seeking therapy and get acquainted with one another. A 10-minute questionnaire will be completed which assists in catering the sessions for your specific need. We will discuss any questions or reservations you may have about therapy as your comfort level is of the utmost importance. It is important you feel safe and know you are in a place of healing.
The second session will be a continuation of the first where we will further discuss family, health, and spiritual history. We will also discuss any insights gained in the previous session. After having a better understanding of the issues, we will discuss the course of treatment.
Depending on your needs, therapy can be short-term for a specific issue or long-term for more difficult patterns or your desire for personal development. Short term treatment could be a situation where you have experienced a loss of a job and are feeling anxiety as a result. Long-term treatment could entail alcohol and drug treatment which are linked to anxiety. It is common to schedule weekly sessions for therapy.
In the following counseling sessions, we will explore new productive ways in which you can get your temperament needs met. We will also uncover false beliefs about God and ourselves and replace them with God’s truth. Counseling sessions will embody:
· The strengths God has given you.
· God’s love for you and who you are in Christ.
· Your treatment and temperament-specific needs are met in healthy ways.
A christian-centered method is used that will utilize the plan of action designed to fit your personal needs. In my treatment approach, I consider variables such as age, understanding, temperament, spiritual level, and past or present life issues. There is no set formula as the sessions are individually personalized for you.
This is what anxiety treatment therapy can do for you.
Maybe You are Considering Anxiety Treatment but Have Some Concerns
I do not believe in counseling.
Your mental health is just as debilitating as any other disease. But like any other disease, ignoring it does not make it go away. Studies have shown that an anxiety disorder is equivalent to experiencing a broken leg. Wouldn’t you seek support and assistance if you had a broken leg? It would be my pleasure to assist you in having a more peaceful life through counseling.
